Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective programs for students with vision impairment, ensuring their inclusion and achievement in education.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, including governance meetings and policy development.
  • Manage financial systems and resources, aligning with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organisation at local and regional levels, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
  • Implement decisions from the governance committee, driving positive change and outcomes.
  • Contribute to system-wide activities, including policy and strategic planning, and development.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with vision impairment. They will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and support services.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Special Education, with a focus on developing and implementing programs for students with disability.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, driving results and achieving organisational goals.
  • Compliance with relevant qualifications and certifications, including Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registrations and National Police Check.
