Job Title: Orange Door PractitionerAbout the Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide support to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence or requiring assistance with care and wellbeing.

This is an ongoing position based in Broadmeadows, working full-time as a first point of contact, offering information, advice, and conducting risk assessments to guide appropriate responses.

As a Team Member, you will report to a Team Leader from any of the partner organisations within The Orange Door and receive formal supervision from a Uniting Orange Door Team Leader. Ongoing practice support and guidance will also be provided by The Orange Door Practice Leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality support services to clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice to ensure safe and effective responses to client needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to meet client goals and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Relevant professional experience or related qualification relevant to child and family welfare.
  • Significant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience, having faced barriers to educational pathways.
  • Knowledge of MARAM and Best Interests of the Child Framework.
