We are seeking talented artists to work on surfacing, look development and shading for our upcoming CG feature film. This is a great opportunity to join our vibrant team of creatives in Sydney, Australia.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with textures, procedural texturing, shading and lookdev, as well as good understanding of lighting and color theory.

We are looking for someone who can create high quality stylized textures and shaders, interpret designs and artistic direction, and maintain a consistent style throughout the project.

The role involves working closely with the production team, maintaining good communication and collaboration skills, and being able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

This is a hybrid role, requiring minimum 3 days a week in the office, and offers a range of benefits including medical/dental/vision plans, mental health support, retirement programs and family-forming benefits.

  • Proven technical and visual skills with an understanding of art and design within an animation environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret design down to its fundamentals
  • 3+ years' experience working on high quality shading, surfacing and texturing
  • Extensive knowledge of shader creation and implementation, and proficiency with Mari and Maya
