About the Cyber Security Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned cyber security professional to drive security governance and maturity uplift in a financial services organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading security uplift programs end-to-end.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a cyber team, integrating NIST CSF 2.0 and ACSC Essential Eight into daily practice.
  • Oversee managed SOC operations, incident response, and vulnerability management programs.
  • Deliver security dashboards and insights using Microsoft Defender Suite, Sentinel, Purview, and Power BI.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and APRA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to balance risk, cost, and resilience.

Your Background:

  • You have significant experience as a cyber leader, with a proven ability to communicate security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep practical expertise in Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Azure cloud security.
  • Working knowledge of MAAS, MATS, and legislative change implementations.
