Research and Development Specialist

This is a full-time fixed-term position with an immediate start until the end of 2025. The base salary will be in the range $64,963.44 - $71,505.71 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 3).
About the RoleThis position provides technical and specialist skills to support the work of the Research Team on various projects related to breeding, physiology, and agronomy of rice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct scientifically sound data collection procedures.
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of research equipment, infrastructure, methodologies, and protocols.
- Develop foundational knowledge of managing glasshouse and field experiments.
- Use plant physiology equipment and methodologies effectively.
- Contribute to the development of research documentation and administrative processes.
- Prepare basic graphs and figures for presentations and manuscripts.
- Provide general research support, including ordering and maintaining consumables.
- Participate actively in research group meetings.
