Job Description

\

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project involves the construction of a 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, comprising two separate tunnels connected by an open motorway.

\

The Spoil Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of spoil management on the T2D project, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the project's spoil management strategy\
  • Coordinate spoil movement from tunnelling and surface excavation works\
  • Manage spoil haulage logistics, including fleet coordination and interface with site teams\
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project approvals\
  • Monitor and report on spoil volumes, destinations, and material classifications\
  • Implement controls to mitigate environmental impacts such as dust, noise, and water run-off\
  • Oversee subcontractors involved in haulage and spoil processing\
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including government bodies, local councils, and community representatives\
  • Work collaboratively with other project teams to achieve project objectives\
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance spoil management operations\\
