Airport Equipment Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage ground service equipment (GSE), ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defect Management: Identify and rectify GSE defects, performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire pressure checks, and brake system inspections.
- Fleet Administration: Coordinate fleet administration tasks, including vehicle passes, defect clearance, and fuel issuance. Manage insurance requirements and schedule equipment release for preventive maintenance and inspections in compliance with regulations.
- Supplier Coordination and Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact between maintenance providers and operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of GSE-related tasks.
- Station Support: Provide assistance with tasks such as headset repair, managing pins, chocks, cones, and potable water testing, ensuring efficient operations and minimal downtime.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (desired)
- Current driver's license
- Preferred experience in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience in airport operational ground handling or a similar environment is an advantage
