Airfield Coordinator Role Overview

This Airfield Coordinator position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ground servicing equipment at Melbourne Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the staging and storage of this equipment, providing real-time support to airlines and ground handling teams, and auditing equipment demand and capacity to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of airfield operations, aviation safety regulations, and strong communication skills. They will also have experience in stock management and be proficient in analytical tools such as Excel. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity based at our designated ground servicing equipment storage areas.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the safe staging and storage of ground servicing equipment
  • Provide real-time support to airlines and ground handling teams
  • Audit equipment demand and capacity
  • Monitor Unit Load Device stock levels
  • Coordinate offsite transfers when required
  • Review CCTV footage and issue notices if equipment is left unsecured
