Job Overview

The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) System Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness and effectiveness of Defence forces. This position provides front-line technical support, training, and guidance to EFB users across Defence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure EFB hardware and software is available for use by clients according to HQ(AC) directives.
  • Provide Ground Support & Training to Defence EFB users.
  • Act on all support requests within 24 hours, ensuring prompt resolution or initiation of issue resolution.
  • Provide technical advice and direction to users, consistent with approved procedures and training materials.
  • Support the EFB system administration and engineering team with requirements definition, system architecture, and test plans.
  • Develop knowledge of Mission Planning Systems IOT assist local users.
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities according to KBR policy, including work goals and milestones.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience working within Defence forces.
  • Strong knowledge of Defence aviation operations and systems, particularly EFB and mobile device management.
  • Proficient in using EFB systems on Apple iOS devices, with working knowledge of supporting infrastructure.
  • Skilled in developing training content and providing instruction to end-users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to engage Defence stakeholders.
  • Eligible for Australian Government Security Clearance (minimum NV1).
