We are currently recruiting for a team member to join our organization. This is a fixed-term maternity leave contract position.

Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care time.

About the Role

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of staff members.

You will receive support from a dedicated leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development of quality programs
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the program
  • Support the Coordinator with staff management
  • Evaluate compliance with policies
  • Undertake administrative requirements
  • Work collaboratively with families and the community
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have completed (or be actively studying) relevant qualifications in childcare or education (minimum of Diploma in Children Services)
  • Demonstrate experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
  • Demonstrate experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hold First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Hold a Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
  • Have knowledge of NQF would be advantageous

Your Workplace

Our organization is located at Palmview State Primary School and is licensed for 60 children.

We offer before and after school care from 6am to 9am and 2:30pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday. We also offer vacation care, operating from 6am to 6pm.

We pride ourselves on creative programming, team culture and relationships with children.

We embed a philosophy that prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood.
