About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workforce Planning Specialist to join our team at our Ulverstone food processing facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the site's employee roster to ensure that our production and maintenance teams are adequately resourced to support plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the site employee roster for employees across day, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts to meet the site production and maintenance plans.
- Mitigate operational disruptions by scheduling labor for leave coverage (planned and unplanned) by utilizing casual and supplementary employees.
- Coordinate leave and rostering for site shutdown periods.
- Manage labor according to enterprise agreements while adhering to equal employment opportunity and diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
- Use workforce management tools and software to undertake accurate forecasting and planning.
- Manage employee time and attendance (timecards).
- Provide weekly reporting on employee time and attendance.
- Liaise with the APAC Payroll team and manage payroll queries from employees.
- Collaborate with the site Learning and Development Lead and HR to provide input into the site skills and competency matrix.
- Proactively identify skills gaps and opportunities for further training of current employees.
- Support in developing the annual site recruitment plan for wages and production roles.
- Contribute to and take part in site continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a highly analytical and methodical individual with a strong commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace. The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience with rostering and/or time and attendance systems.Highly developed skill sets in stakeholder engagement and management.Exposure to National Employment Standards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work Awards would be advantageous.Ability to problem-solve and work through conflicting stakeholder priorities.Ability to work with stakeholders to aid in decisions that are of benefit to the overall business.High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.Analytical mindset to provide data-driven decisions.Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical (including urine-based drug and alcohol screening).
