Job Description

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team in Sydney on a full-time or part-time basis.

This role involves working with and supporting individuals who have sustained psychological or physical injuries in the workplace.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the close-knit team, undertaking vocational assessments, liaising with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve outcomes beneficial for all parties.

  1. Undertake vocational assessments to determine suitability for various roles.
  2. Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve desired outcomes.
  3. Support recovery and return to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Deliver targeted intervention strategies to enhance independence, vocational capacity, and functional performance.
  5. Understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling and full ASORC Accreditation.
  • Confidence in engaging with multiple stakeholders such as insurers, medical practitioners, employers, colleagues, and employees.
  • An inclusive attitude towards engaging with diverse cultural groups.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Strong punctuality and time management skills.
  • A willingness to travel; a current vehicle and driver's license are mandatory.
