We are seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to become valued members in our drilling crews, working collaboratively with experienced Drillers to maintain safe drilling operations. The 14 days on and 7 days off roster offers a great work-life balance, and FIFO arrangements are available from Brisbane Airport, Perth Airport or Darwin Airport or DIDO within an acceptable distance.

Duties:

  • Minimise breakage and down hole loss to ensure efficient drilling operations.
  • Report all incidents immediately to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform diligent prestart checks to guarantee the quality of drilling processes.
  • Discuss openly and record all hazards, near misses and improvements to enhance operational excellence.
  • Ensure accuracy in sample markup (e.g. Core) and orientation where applicable to meet high standards.

Requirements:

  • An open car licence is mandatory for this role.
  • The ability to obtain a current First Aid/CPR certification is a requirement.
  • An ability to obtain a National Police Clearance is also necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in an Underground Driller Offsider role is desirable, as is the ability to work in small teams and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good level of physical fitness is essential, and the ability to pass a functional assessment is required.
