Job Opportunity: Hope Manager

This role offers a unique chance to lead a team in providing outreach services to individuals at risk of suicide. As the Hope Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the HOPE program, which is a crucial component of Victoria's suicide prevention framework.

The program aims to deliver responsive outreach to individuals following a suicide attempt or those at significant risk of suicide. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the service provides a high-quality and accessible service to the community of the Grampians region.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing operational oversight of the HOPE team, supporting individuals and their personal support networks for up to three months.
  • Helping them identify and build protective factors against suicide.

You will be the pivotal link between the senior leadership team and the HOPE Team, ensuring the service delivers a high-quality and accessible service to the community.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can provide leadership and guidance to the HOPE team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist with AHPRA or approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in specialty and/or management are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision of others, preferably in an environment of Community Mental Health and service development.
