**Job Description**

A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Naval Asset Manager to join our team. The role will involve proactive asset management of allocated vessel systems, ensuring supportability, reliability, and safe operational performance.

The successful candidate will work within an overarching asset management program model, driving continuous improvement across all program aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards the development of asset management plans
  • Provide system level asset management advice for prioritization of key initiatives
  • Support capability forward planning through the development, maintenance, and utilization of the System Through Life Management Plan
  • Analyzing, prioritizing, and progression of obsolescence, supportability, and reliability issues
  • Program management of problem reports and Engineering Change Proposals
  • Contribution towards the development and maintenance of the Activity Based Cost Model, underpinning Naval Sustainment Review Board defensible budgets
  • Chairing the System Integrated Product Team
  • Reviewing the effectiveness and implementation of maintenance and inventory optimization strategies where required to improve safety and seaworthiness and/or to reduce Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
  • Identification, treatment, and reporting of risks and opportunities to improve asset management objectives, and
  • Development and maintenance of Stakeholder relationships

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, communications

- Ability to manage small projects or processes

- Strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to present professionally to various stakeholder groups directly or in virtual meeting forums

- Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Australian Defence security clearance
