We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our dedicated team at Gosford Hospital's Mental Health Inpatient Unit. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults experiencing acute mental health crises.
Job Description
This full-time position offers a diverse range of challenges and opportunities for professional growth and development. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and providing hands-on clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver wraparound care and support patients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- AHPRA-registered with clinical experience in mental health nursing, ideally in acute settings
- Motivated to develop your expertise and attain certification in mental health nursing
- Confident in managing complex nursing needs, conducting risk assessments, and delivering trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care
- A natural communicator and collaborator who puts patients at the centre of care

As a Mental Health Nurse at Gosford Hospital's Mental Health Inpatient Unit, you will:
