Law Reform Officer Position
This role involves undertaking high-level research and analysis to identify areas for law reform. The successful candidate will have expertise in legal research, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
About the RoleThe primary responsibility of this position is to undertake research and develop recommendations for improving Victorian law. This will involve working closely with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and other key organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting complex legal and non-legal research into various areas of law and practice.
- Developing options and recommendations for reform of the law and practice.
- Drafting reports and publications for editing by senior staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Highly developed legal research skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in drafting reports and publications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in law reform processes, community consultation, and policy development are highly desirable.
