About the Position

This role involves working in the community law reform team to undertake high-level legal and non-legal research into complex areas of the law and practice.

You will be responsible for drafting publications, developing options and recommendations for reform of the law and practice, and analysing complex issues.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Undertaking high-level legal and non-legal research into complex areas of the law and practice.
  • Drafting publications for editing by the Team Leader and Commission Chairperson.
  • Developing options and recommendations for reform of the law and practice.

We are Looking For:

  • A highly skilled individual with experience of law reform processes and methodology.
  • An experienced researcher with excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • National police checks and misconduct screening may be required.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Be able to demonstrate a high level of legal and non-legal research skills, and proven ability to analyse complex issues.

Have experience of community consultation processes and law reform methodologies.

Have excellent writing and oral communication skills, and ability to work with external stakeholders.
