About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Product Designer, responsible for crafting Xero's Tax experiences.

About the Team

You'll be part of a passionate global group of Designers who collaborate closely with each other and their cross-functional counterparts. This role will begin working on our US tax product suite, partnering closely with the Lead PM, Design Director and Head of Product to create a vision for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Practice and Thinking: collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers. You'll champion the value of design, dive into research and analysis, help define the problems we're solving, and create design frameworks (think wireframes, visual layouts, etc.).
  • Design Research and Testing: identify research opportunities and participate in planning and conducting research and testing. You'll be involved in user research to understand customer needs, synthesize data, and contribute to user testing.
  • Relationship Management: influence, challenge, and support other designers to deliver fantastic product experiences.
Requirements
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality outcomes that contribute to business value
  • Experience across the entire design process, with mastery in executing elegant interfaces
  • Experience building and iterating on a product or experience based on customer usage patterns
  • A strong desire to share design thinking, combined with an openness to collaborate
