Civil Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team in Cairns. As a Civil Designer, you will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in land, urban subdivision projects in this region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D for land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Interpreting civil design requirements from State Government, Local Government Authorities, and private sector clients.
  • Collaborating with diverse teams nationally and interfacing with associated disciplines such as planning, survey, traffic, electrical, and landscaping.
  • Interacting with clients regarding project needs to ensure expert and quality service is delivered.

About You:

  • Demonstrated civil design/drafting experience within a consulting environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, ideally a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience ideally using 12D.
  • Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements.
  • A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development.
