Job Description

Job Title: Regional Director for Asia Pacific

Job Summary:

MAF Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to play a pivotal role in leading and directing our operations as the Regional Director for the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Develop and implement effective long-term strategies and short-term objectives in alignment with MAF Australia's overall mission and priorities.
  2. Lead and Mentor Country Directors: Lead and mentor the Asia Pacific Country Directors to facilitate effective program performance and support them in growing and developing their teams, as well as their own overall leadership growth.
  3. Oversee Staff Development: Oversee the training and development of staff and ensure staff are cared for on a personal, spiritual, and corporate level.
  4. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies both internal and external including: HR policies, financial management, risk mitigation, and other regulatory policies.
  5. Contribute to Strategic Planning: Engage actively in the Operations Leadership Team, addressing operational challenges and contributing to strategic planning for MAF Australia across all regions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree: Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
  2. Leadership Experience: Extensive leadership and general management experience at a senior level within a charity/NGO context.
  3. Strategic Planning Skills: Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
  4. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building abilities.
  5. Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with the Asia Pacific region and its cultural dynamics.
  6. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Lean Management: Experience in Lean Management.
  2. Agile Management: Experience in Agile Management.
  3. Missiology Training: Missiology training preferred.
