Job Role:

This role involves supporting the hospitality function within a care home, encompassing catering, cleaning, and laundry services.

As a Hospitality Service Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of residents by providing empathetic and personal support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene
  • Complete necessary documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Assist with laundry duties, including loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen
  • Support catering / food services, including assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Contribute to general cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • Understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices, with the ability to work independently
