Clearance Specialist

The Clearance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
  • Review customs documentation, classify goods according to customs regulations, and determine duty rates and tax liabilities
  • Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues
  • Collaborate closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance

Requirements:

  • Secondary education or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in Customs
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance
  • Proficiency in customs clearance software and online customs portal
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail
