Cost Controller Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cost Controller to join our dynamic Projects Controls team due to continued growth. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Perth Head Office and involves:

  • Servicing and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender estimates.
  • Preparation of internal and client invoicing documentation as well as supporting materials.
  • Maintaining all cost commitments including the review of internal and third-party costs.
  • Preparing monthly project cost and revenue forecasts and assisting in producing Contract Status Reports.
  • Providing cost control support and assistance including project closeout and lessons learned.
  • Inputting client variations and maintaining current contract value and budgets.
  • Reviewing requisitions and commitments for compliance with project cost coding.
  • Preparing consolidated project invoicing forecasts.
  • Supporting office and site timekeeping systems and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, engineering, project management or related discipline.
  • Post-graduate experience in a cost controller or similar role.
  • Understanding and application of project cost management principles.
  • Strong data and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • High levels of computer literacy including ERP and reporting systems such as Pronto, Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Active participation in departmental goals objectives and projects.
  • Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable.
