About This Role

The job holder will design, implement, test, and hand over to service advanced security solutions based on leading-edge technologies for global customers. To achieve this, the job holder has the authority to engage other people within the unit or via matrix management as appropriate and assume the technical lead design role for the specific project.

Key Responsibilities:

The Security Solutions Designer will implement robust security solutions in line with defined standards and processes within agreed timeframes. They may also analyze and scope migration plans based on client requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining a good understanding of key security products, analyzing and scoping migration plans, handing over and gaining signoff, providing technical assistance, participating in professional communities, managing teams, and working within virtual teams and short timescales.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of security products and hands-on experience are required. Key qualifications include maintaining an excellent knowledge of key security technologies, keeping relevant certifications up-to-date, holding an adequate security clearance, and achieving vendor certifications such as CCSE or PCNSE.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Practical working knowledge of security technologies, network security requirements, and designing and deploying network security solutions are essential. Strong written and presentation skills, customer relationship skills, agility, and self-motivation are also necessary. Familiarity with Checkpoint Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler ZIA, and Cloud Security Proxies is beneficial.
