Job Overview

This senior finance role is crucial in supporting major projects from inception to completion, contributing to the development of investment estimates, managing funding requests, and delivering insightful financial reporting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the month-end close for allocated projects, including journal processing.
  • Analyse profit and loss and balance sheet positions prior to the monthly close to ensure reasonableness.
  • Engage regularly with project contacts to ensure the general ledger is prepared appropriately.
  • Support half-year and year end requirements, including preparation of CLP schedules and auditor requests.
  • Provide financial accounting support to project managers and commercial finance personnel, including tracking actuals, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • At least 5 years experience in industry, in a finance role.
  • Solid knowledge of financial systems (SAP highly regarded).
  • Strong communication skills to senior leadership and project teams.
