**Objectives of this Role**
- Inspire a team of supervisors to ensure they're focused on achieving operational excellence.
- Manage the day-to-day operations team including labourers, machine operators, and supervisory team.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of all critical plant and machinery.
- Manage the administrative function of the business unit.
- Oversee the OH&S, Logistics and Transport team.
- Implement systems and processes for efficiency and productivity improvement.
- Oversee staff training programs and staff review.
- Manage the export logistics of the business
- Make safety your number one priority and ensure everyone's working in a safe environment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage operational budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimising resource allocation.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.

**Skills Required**:

- Experience as an operations manager within transport
- 5-10 years overseeing an operation team
- A background in mechanical or electrical engineering an advantage
- Experience in implementing an OH&S system
- Proven track record in creating and implementing systems and processes for a production or operation's team
