The Position's Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes to meet high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to Compass Group Australia's food safety protocols and HACCP principles.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage service efficiently during busy periods.
- A minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate is essential.
- Proven track record working in high-volume kitchens, preferably in upscale restaurants, village kitchens, or hotels.
- A strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and flavor combinations.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ideally in remote site kitchens.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, following recipe plating guidelines accurately.
