Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced lifting gear inspector to join our team in Newcastle.

This is a key role that involves inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining new and existing lifting, rigging, and height safety equipment to ensure it is safe for use and compliant with Australian standards on behalf of clients.

The successful candidate will work independently, visiting sites across the Hunter region to ensure customer gear is safe for use and keeping their businesses running efficiently.

  • Inspect and test lifting gear, reporting any defects or damage to clients and ensuring timely repairs or replacement;
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess client's equipment and provide recommendations for improvement;
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications in accordance with industry standards;
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent customer service and achieve business objectives;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in lifting and rigging to ensure our services meet the highest standards;
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations;
  • Conduct site visits to assess client equipment and provide recommendations for improvement;
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications;
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent customer service;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in the lifting and rigging industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience in the lifting and rigging industry;
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and work independently;
  • Problem-solving and time-management skills;
  • Confidently work at heights;
  • Comfortable with technology and working from a tablet;
  • Current Driver's License;
