Job Title: Group Financial Accountant

About the Role

This role requires an individual with strong accounting skills, good organisational abilities, and Japanese language proficiency. You will assist the Financial Controller in month/quarter end closing, preparation of internal/external financial reports, tax return, financial analysis, and other ad hoc analysis for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support for monitoring the accounting results of each entity within the group, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of various accounting reports to ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and operation of systems for the above-mentioned monitoring.
  • Preparation of various accounting reports.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting.
  • CPA/CA qualified preferred.
  • Japanese speaking/writing skills will be highly regarded.
  • About 5+ years of similar financial modelling experience in a large complex business preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders is essential.
  • High attention to detail.
