Job Title: Group Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Monitoring:
    • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Support for monitoring the accounting results of each entity within the group, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Conduct regular reviews of various accounting reports to ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • General Accounting, Tax and Internal Control:
    • Monthly accounts, Quarter/Year End closing.
    • Perform monthly and quarterly closing tasks as needed.
    • Tax: Handle ATO reviews and tax governance matters as needed.
    • Internal control: Address internal audits such as J-SOX as needed.
  • Participation in Account Projects:
    • Participate in various account projects as needed, contributing expertise and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify issues and areas for improvement through business trips to group companies and contribute to their resolution.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting.
  • CPA/CA qualified preferred.
  • Japanese speaking/writing skills will be highly regarded.
  • About 5 + years of similar financial modelling experience in a large complex business preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders is essential.
  • High attention to detail.
