Electrical Drafter Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to join our Engineering Team.

The successful candidate will work on high-voltage infrastructure projects for the National Electricity Grid, including substations, grid connections, and battery storage.

You will be responsible for undertaking and managing high quality design artefacts, technical documentation, and other work tasks to agreed deadlines, standards, and project plans.

About the Role

This is a key role in our team, requiring strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and implementing design information provided by Primary Design Engineers, Civil Design Engineers, and Design Managers
  • Producing CAD drawings in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for compliance with client requirements and standards
  • Working collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A sound knowledge of the utilities or renewable energy industry, with experience in substation design highly regarded
  • Previous experience producing technical documentation and design artefacts
  • Tertiary studies are favourable, however not essential
