Job Title:

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, assembling, installing, commissioning, inspecting heat exchangers and cooling towers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect heat exchangers and cooling towers either at our centre or on site;
  • Assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs;
  • Check quality of work performed;
  • Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work;
  • Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable;
  • Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyse data as required;
  • Check and Record goods inward & despatch with stock control;
  • Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required;
  • Clear and accurate communication with customers;
  • Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites;
  • Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times;
  • Keep up to date with new industry standards;
  • Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability;
  • All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job;
  • Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor;
  • Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function;
  • Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required;
  • Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma or Trade certificate.
  • Competent English (Current IELTS; Pearsons PTE, ToEFL or Cambrighe Certificate obtained within the last 2 years)

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
  • Preferably have a working knowledge of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
  • Site service and customer relations experience preferred
