We are currently seeking an experienced fulltime Mechanical Engineering Service Technician (ANZSCO 312512) to join us.

**Main duties and responsibilities of the role**:

- Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect heat exchangers and cooling towers either at HEWA's service centre or on site;
- To assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs;
- Check quality of work performed;
- Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work;
- Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable;
- Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyse data as required;
- Check and Record goods inward & despatch with stock control;
- Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required;
- Clear and accurate communication with customers;
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites;
- Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times;
- Keep up to date with new industry standards;
- Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability;
- All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job;
- Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor;
- Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function;
- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required;
- Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.

**Qualifications**
- Relevant Diploma or Trade certificate.
- Competent English (Current IELTS; Pearsons PTE, ToEFL or Cambrighe Certificate obtained within the last 2 years)

**Experience**
- Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
- Preferably have a working knowledge of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
- Site service and customer relations experience preferred

Pay: $35.50 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Commission
- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Beckenham, WA 6107: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
