An exciting opportunity exists for an Anaesthetist to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in Mackay, Australia.

The Job Description

  • Assist the Director in delivering high-quality clinical services.
  • Contribute to education of medical staff and students, Allied Health professionals, and interested community groups.
  • Perform after-hours and weekend clinical duties as rostered.

The department provides anaesthesia for various procedures and also offers pre-assessment clinics and acute pain services. We are an accredited training facility, and you will be required to supervise junior medical officers.

The hospital has undergone redevelopment, featuring leading-edge technology and a digital platform. It is the first regional hospital in Queensland to have an integrated electronic medical record.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent qualifications.
