This position involves mechanical product design and documentation tasks for both existing and new products.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

">

- Developing new products and supporting technical projects.
- Preparing concept development and production review documents.
- Creating detailed drawings, technical manuals, and design plans.
- Checking extrusions and component tolerances, as well as quality control measures.
- Maintaining filing and archiving systems, including electronic drawing management and dissemination.
- Coordinating document distribution and samples preparation.
- Generating progress reports and providing customer support.

Essential Requirements

">

- A degree in Mechanical Drafting, Industrial Design, or Product Design is required.
- Previous experience in a drafting office or technical documentation environment is essential.
- Strong IT skills are necessary, including proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and Inventor 3D modeling software or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing principles and conventions are essential.
- Problem-solving capabilities and ability to work within deadlines are necessary.
- Time management and task prioritization skills are also required.

Desirable Qualifications

- Previous experience in the window or aluminium industry would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of aluminium extrusion drawing and documentation principles is desirable.
- Experience in creating technical or instructional documentation would be advantageous.
