Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Swimming Instructor to lead our swimming lessons team.

About the Role

This is a casual role, reporting to the Aquatic Coordinator, where you will be responsible for supervising swimming lessons staff and space during class times. Your primary duties include:

  • Conducting regular assessments of preschool and school-age students
  • Liaising with parents, school teachers, and other stakeholders via phone, email, or in-person meetings
  • Managing student progression through levels, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Overseeing classroom setup and pack-up procedures
  • Directing parents and students to classes

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional teaching skills and professionalism

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners

- Monitor and report on lesson attendance, punctuality, and student engagement

- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

- Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification

- First Aid and CPR certificates
