Cloud Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing and migrating databases to the cloud, administering databases, implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies, monitoring database performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, designing secure cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in cost optimization initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute end-to-end database migration projects to the cloud.
  • Administer and optimize databases.
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and reliability.

Required Technical Skills:
  • NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Proven experience with cloud services, especially Azure SQL Database (PaaS).
  • Experience with cloud data migration service and other migration tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management in the cloud.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
