Job Summary

An Avionics Technician is a skilled professional responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of Army aircraft communication, navigation, and radar systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronics principles, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft electrical instruments and electronic systems
  • Operate and maintain test equipment and special tooling associated with the trade
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of faults in aircraft communication, navigation, and radar systems
  • Maintain technical manuals and documentation for aircraft and related equipment
  • Work in a team environment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft
Work Environment

Avionics Technicians typically work in established workshops or on aircraft flight lines, with occasional deployments to the field environment. This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of electrical and electronics principles, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
