Avionics Systems Design Specialist

Randstad Defence is a proud partner of the Australian Defence Industry, seeking an experienced Avionics Design Engineer to develop and support avionics and software modification activities for an Aircraft platform upgrade.
The ideal candidate must be an Australian Citizen with a NV1 Security Clearance.
As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and reviewing Aircraft Health and Usage Monitoring systems.
- Managing the collection, distribution, and analysis of Aircraft Usage Data and Mission Planning Software.
- Providing recommendations to Compliance Verification Engineers for Defence Aviation Safety Regulations Reviews.
- Conducting Systems Safety Analysis and engineering evaluations.
- Investigating systems tests and producing technical reports.
- Providing technical support for test and evaluation activities.
- Project managing minor avionics projects, including Flight Test Instrumentation redesign.
About You
- Appropriate Engineering Qualifications related to Avionics Design, Computer Science, or Aircraft Software Systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing software systems for Aircraft.
- Experience in reviewing engineering drawings, conducting engineering investigations, and technical report writing.
- Experience in Software and Network Integration and Troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR).
