Procurement Professional

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support procurement planning, tendering and contract formation while ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, processes and procedures.
  • Generate and review strategic contracting correspondence including high-level advice on commercially sensitive and complex reports, submissions, and other documents as required.
  • Contribute expertise to guide and mentor others on complex technical and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence.
  • Demonstrate and apply technical and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and lead strategies addressing complex contracting issues.
  • Evaluate and design mitigation strategies for risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions, consulting on complex procurement contracting issues as appropriate.
  • Provide relevant subject matter expertise to support contract negotiations.
  • Develop Offer Definition and Improvement Activities and negotiation strategies.
  • Offer guidance in support of procurement planning; tendering and contract formation; and, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, processes and procedures.
  • Deliver project documents and artefacts meeting standards and schedules required by CASG, JSD, and capability managers, consistent with task scope.

The contractor's nominated personnel will provide a knowledge transfer service component drawing on skills and experience, sharing these with Defence staff.
