Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical reviews of patients' oncology protocols to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Dispense medications and verify prescriptions in accordance with Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) regulations, prioritizing patient safety and adherence to best practice guidelines.
  • Participate in medication reconciliation processes, including stock management and inventory control, to minimize errors and optimize treatment plans.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on cancer treatments, side effects and self-management strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Collaborate with our team of Oncologists to coordinate clinical trials and compassionate access programs, advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and maintain effective relationships, contributing to quality assurance activities and driving excellence in cancer care.

Requirements
  • Experienced Oncology Pharmacist looking to advance their career and make a meaningful contribution to cancer care.
  • Familiarity with PBS regulations, compounding requirements and national standards for pharmacy practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage patients, families and healthcare professionals in collaborative care planning.
