The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Development Lead to join our team. As a Technical Development Lead, you will provide technical leadership to our Online Systems and DevOps teams, working closely with the leadership team to establish a technical roadmap that addresses internal and external customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Online Systems leadership team to establish a technical roadmap that addresses internal and external customer requirements
  • Execute the technical roadmap, evaluating and championing new technology to support underlying business objectives
  • Build relationships with developers in the team, driving maturity and providing technical coaching and guidance
  • Align the team to software development and DevSecOps best practices, increasing the quality and time to deployment of our Portals and APIs
  • Contribute to codebases, features, R&D, and bug fixes as required
Requirements
  • Software Engineering or similar bachelor's degree
  • 10 years' experience in relevant technical roles in the application development and automation space
  • 5+ years of Python software development experience
  • Demonstrable experience with TDD, unit, and integration testing
  • CI/CD pipeline experience using a mainstream open-source or commercial platform
  • Containers
  • IaC using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar
  • Experience deploying to/leveraging a public cloud
  • Windows and Linux skills
  • A thorough understanding of the HTTP protocol, RESTful APIs, and JSON representation
  • Communication, documentation, and illustration skills
Desirable Experience and Skills
  • Hands-on experience in a Cloud Services or telecommunications environment
  • Django, Flask
  • Vaults
  • PowerShell
  • Kubernetes
  • Microsoft Windows server and/or Linux system administration
  • VMware or another virtualization platform
  • Network administration with switching, routing, and firewalls or other network and security devices
