Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Java Architecture Lead to join our team at M&T Resources. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Java professional to take on a leadership position and drive the development of our cloud-based platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of our Java-based cloud platform, ensuring best practices in software engineering are followed.
  2. Architecture & Design: Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable and resilient solutions, leveraging cloud-native technologies and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, code quality, and collaboration.
  4. Hands-On Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, conduct code reviews, and maintain high code quality standards.
  5. Cloud Integration: Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) to build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
  6. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, implement monitoring and logging solutions, and ensure high availability of services.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, while ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
  • Experience with building and managing RESTful APIs within a cloud-based application architecture.
  • Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including hands-on experience with services like Lambda, ECS, or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams, promoting a positive team culture, and delivering complex software projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
