About the Role

The Spiritual Care Manager-In Home Care is a key leadership position responsible for leading the development and deeper integration of spiritual care in Aged Care services toward best practice in terms of both Baptcare's missional values and the current aged care quality standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and integration of spiritual care in Aged Care services
  • Manage and develop Spiritual Care Coordinators to deliver professional, effective, and highly skilled pastoral and spiritual care
  • Work collaboratively with the staff team to achieve Baptcare's mission and vision
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance spiritual care services
  • Provide guidance and support to Spiritual Care Coordinators
Requirements
  • Active personal faith and involvement in a faith community or support network
  • Mature spiritual and pastoral formation and capacity to reflect theologically on experience
  • Highly developed listening and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an understanding of person-centred care
  • Understanding of and demonstrated ability to work sensitively with individuals and faith/community groups from diverse religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in providing pastoral/spiritual care to people outside a faith community
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualifications in theology or spiritual care
  • Experience in recruitment, selection, training, ongoing management, and supervision of volunteers
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and related software
