Reinforcement Operations Manager

 
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Reinforcement Operations Manager to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of reinforcing detailers, overseeing day-to-day operational activities, and ensuring seamless communication between departments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, practical knowledge of the construction industry, and excellent analytical thinking and planning abilities. You will have experience in project management, multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 10 reinforcing detailers to optimize client delivery
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of reinforcing detailers
  • Resolve problematic and contradictory drawings and details with sites, engineers, and other consultants
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of staff across different states
  • Liaise with internal staff to ensure clear communication for workflow between departments
  • Distribute workload evenly
  • Implement and oversee training and development of new and junior Schedulers and oversee the Scheduling team's performance
  • Assess individual Schedulers regarding efficiency, accuracy, communication skills, project management skills, and performance across the duration of any specific supply contract, customer, or period

Requirements:

  • Possess practical and structural knowledge of products and services within the construction and building industry
  • Extended knowledge of construction sequencing and structural properties and designs
  • Familiarity with all types of structural drawings for construction including domestic, residential, multi-storey, and civil works
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Analytical thinking and planning
  • Demonstrate a flexible and 'can do' attitude
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced Excel skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Prior experience as an engineer will be highly regarded
