
Neonatal Health Specialist

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to promote improved neonatal health outcomes in a specialized Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
New team members receive comprehensive support through educational workshops and guidance during their initial 12 months, enabling them to progress from caring for low-dependency neonates to critical care level.
- Current registration as a nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- A deep understanding of evidence-informed practice and effective critical thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities within a multidisciplinary team setting.
The unit comprises 22 ICU-funded beds and 12 lower-dependency beds. Team members will be supported by experienced Clinical Nurse Educators and senior colleagues to help them develop their career in neonatal nursing.
Ideal Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates should possess a strong foundation in neonatal health outcomes and be able to work effectively as part of a cohesive team environment.
