Project Officer - Strategy Implementation

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a skilled professional to support the implementation of key strategy and enable students to realise their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project materials to support teachers to focus on teaching and learning through updates to policy and procedure, and key system messaging.
  • Develop content, help materials, key messages, graphic displays, briefings, and strategic messaging for strategic implementation.
  • Support consultations with key stakeholders, regions, schools, and teams.
  • Conduct research and qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Support implementation of the Professional Standards for Middle Leaders.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively within a small team to support project leaders and senior officers by preparing and coordinating reports, submissions, briefings, presentations, meeting minutes, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated sound knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire sound knowledge of the department's strategic plan, relevant legislation, policies, and strategies relating to state schools.
  • Understanding of the use of OneSchool in schools would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability or willingness to acquire ability to undertake qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish productive relationships with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to design content, graphic displays, and provide creative solutions within a changing environment and in negotiation with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to a team to undertake the timely delivery of a variety of project activities.
