Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

About the Role

The Cyber Security Specialist plays a vital role in managing and improving customer security governance, risk management, and compliance framework. This position ensures adherence to defense security regulatory requirements, develops security policies meeting business objectives, conducts regular risk assessments, and implements controls to protect customer digital assets.

This role is responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and frameworks as per regulatory requirements. Regular security audits are performed to ensure the effectiveness of implemented controls. Cyber security risks are identified and mitigated through the implementation of security controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and frameworks as per regulatory requirements.
  • Regular Security Audits: Perform regular security audits to ensure the effectiveness of implemented controls.
  • Cyber Security Risk Management: Identify cyber security risks and implement security controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Vulnerability Management: Manage vulnerabilities in customer digital assets.
  • Threat Detection: Detect potential threats to customer digital assets.
  • Security Event Log Monitoring: Monitor security event logs to identify potential security incidents.
  • Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization (Accreditation): Develop and maintain Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization documentation suite.
  • Security Control Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in cyber security/information technology or related experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in cyber security risk management/policy development/governance.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of security audit/documentation development/vulnerability management/security event monitoring. Industry certifications like CISA/ISO Lead Implementer/auditor or similar are desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details.
