Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the ERT team to prevent and manage emergency situations such as fires, chemical hazards, and vehicle/heavy equipment accidents.
- Provide first aid and medical treatment to site personnel around the clock.
- Refer patients to appropriate medical facilities and coordinate ongoing care.
- Support the development of emergency response systems to meet AS/NZS 4801 standards.
- Inspect and audit emergency equipment and procedures, and address corrective actions promptly.
- Promote safety awareness and controls among management and staff.
- Conduct safety audits and recommend improvements.
- Participate in procedure development and incident investigations.
- Assist with environmental and personnel hygiene monitoring in surface and underground mines.
Requirements:
- Extensive safety and medical experience in mining.
- Cert IV OHS.
- Cert IV Training and Assessment.
- Cert III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue.
- Experience as an ERT Member or coordinating ERT activities.
- Knowledge of loss control and mine rescue techniques.
- Experience with safety management systems.
